Pi a la Mole

Read about this year's theme at the National Mole Day Foundation web site.

On Friday, October 22, 2003 we celebratee Mole Day, a holiday celebrated by chemists around the world. Mole day is actually on October 23rd but we didn't have school that day so our celebration was on Mole Day Eve.

Students in Mr. Flint's chemistry class made moles using the mole pattern available in class. Extra credit moles are worth between 5 and 15 points. Extra large or extra small moles are worth more. Every mole must have a theme!

If you are artistic then a drawing using the official Mole Day mascot or this year's theme drawing is acceptable as well. BE CREATIVE! Click for a larger Pi a la Mole graphic.

We did a laboratory experiment on mole day.

Students brought Mole Day related food items such as cakes in the shape of a mole and other creative mole related food items to class. Party items are worth 5 points.
